The new £30M Women's and Children's Unit at Telford Hospital will provide state-of-the-art health facilities for babies, children, young people and women across Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin and Mid Wales once completed.
We were contracted to undertake the design of connections, supply and installation of structural steelwork, supply and installation of 5,500m2 of metal decking and supply and installation of precast concrete staircases.
Due to our early involvement in the scheme we were able to assist in value engineering the steel frame to provide substantial savings to the project. We also integrated ourselves into the design process to realise Balfour Beatty's objective of a complete 'BIM' scheme.
