Leach Structural Steelwork Limited operates to the Steel Construction Certification Scheme (SCCS) ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems. The scope of registration covers design, supply, fabrication, surface treatment and installation of structural steel, associated goods and quality standards, which has a major contribution to the building and construction industry.
 
CE marked products assure that the materials used for its manufacture are correct for purpose, have a traceable audit path and the product is compliant with its expected end-use. Structural Bolts, welding consumables, and proprietary products are also included within the audits. Therefore, they can assure both the Principal Contractor and the client of a proactive approach to collaborative working and a good supply chain ethos on quality aspects in accordance with the SCCS EC Certificate of Factory Production Control (FPC)
 
Accredited in May 2013 the Factory Production Control certifications – BS EN 1090-1:2009+A1:2011 & BS EN 1090-2:2008+A1: two harmonized parts are audited annually by external verifiers to maintain the exacting requirements. The accreditations enable them to provide confidence and assurances to clients that our products and services are in line with internationally recognised standards. CE Marking of steel products. They operate a Factory Production Control system up to Execution Class 2 for Building Structures/Components/Details.
 
 
The Certification requires a team of responsibly trained management and factory personnel to meet the criteria:-
Responsible Welding Co-ordinator (RWC) – A designated competent person with technical knowledge and experience who controls and supervises the steelwork welding activities. Having undertaken the course and examinations Eric Leach, BEng(Hons), CEng, MIStructE is the company's RWC.
 
Certification Scheme Welding Inspection Personnel (CSWIP) – Qualified Visual Welding Inspectors undertake daily checks before work leaves the factory to ensure fusion welds are undertaken in accordance with CSWIP-WI-6-92 12th Edition May 2012.
 
The British Constructional Steelwork Association (BCSA) has long recognised the need for standardised system and CE Marking compliances are a condition of membership.
