The £5 million Women’s International Centre for Economic Development (WICED) situated in Liverpool’s city centre comprised the design of steelwork connections, treatment, supply and installation of 150  tonnes of structural steelwork to the 5 storey development.

We were also tasked with the procurement and installation of the metal deck flooring, precast concrete staircases and temporary edge protection which was installed by our own operatives in a phased manner to suit the safe erection of the structure.

Our involvement in the early design stage was a key factor in the success of the project as we were able to overcome certain architectural and aesthetic challenges which included a curved core feature facade which housed bespoke glazed elevation panels.
